Housekeeping
Housekeeping in hejGuide gives you everything you need to manage cleaning operations across all your properties. From auto-generated cleaning tasks tied to your bookings, to customizable checklists and maintenance issue tracking, the Housekeeping module keeps your properties spotless and your team organized.
What you can do with Housekeeping
- See property status at a glance -- The dashboard shows which properties are clean, dirty, or currently being cleaned, so you always know where things stand.
- Auto-generated cleaning tasks -- When a booking is created, hejGuide automatically generates pre-stay and post-stay cleaning tasks. No manual scheduling needed.
- Customizable checklists -- Create detailed cleaning checklists for different task types and property types. Cleaners check off items as they work through each room.
- Maintenance issue tracking -- Cleaners can report problems they find during cleaning -- broken appliances, damage, missing supplies -- with photos and severity levels.
- Cleaner assignment -- Assign team members to specific tasks and track who is responsible for each property.
Getting started with Housekeeping
- Make sure you have the Housekeeping module enabled in your subscription.
- Go to Housekeeping in the sidebar to open the dashboard.
- If you have active bookings, you will already see cleaning tasks generated for upcoming check-outs and check-ins.
- Create your first cleaning checklist so cleaners know exactly what to do.
- Invite your cleaners through the Team module and start assigning them to tasks.
TIP
Housekeeping tasks are automatically created based on your bookings. Once you set up your checklists and assign your team, the day-to-day scheduling takes care of itself.
