Bookings
The Bookings module gives you full control over every reservation in your system. Each booking has its own detail page where you can manage guest information, charges, payments, messages, and a complete timeline of events.
Accessing bookings
You can find bookings in two ways:
- From the Calendar -- Click on any booking bar to go directly to its detail page.
- From the Booking List -- Open the Bookings section in the sidebar to see a searchable, filterable list of all your reservations.
The booking list lets you search by guest name, filter by listing, date range, or booking status, and sort results to find exactly what you need.
What each booking contains
Every booking in hejGuide includes the following information and tools:
- Guest details -- Name, email, phone number, and check-in information.
- Reservation details -- Check-in and check-out dates, listing, number of guests, and booking source.
- Charges -- The rate breakdown, extra charges (cleaning, amenities, services), taxes, and total due.
- Payments -- A record of all payments received, online payment links sent, and outstanding balances.
- Timeline -- A chronological log of everything that has happened with the booking (creation, modifications, messages sent, payments received).
- Notes -- Internal notes visible only to you and your team.
Common tasks
From the booking detail page, you can:
- View and edit booking details -- Update guest info, dates, or notes.
- Manage charges -- Add cleaning fees, extra guest charges, or other services.
- Record payments -- Log cash, bank transfer, or card payments.
- Send payment links -- Email the guest an online payment link via Mollie or Stripe.
- Process refunds -- Record full or partial refunds.
- Send a check-in invite -- Email the guest a link to complete their digital check-in.
TIP
Use the booking timeline to see the full history of a reservation at a glance. It shows when the booking was created, when emails were sent, when payments were received, and any modifications that were made.
