Digital Check-in

The Digital Check-in module lets guests submit their information online before they arrive. Instead of collecting names, ID numbers, and signatures at the door, you send guests a link to a mobile-friendly form where they can fill everything in at their convenience.

Why use digital check-in

  • Save time on arrival -- Guest details are already in hejGuide when they show up, so there is no paperwork to handle.
  • Collect the information you need -- Customize the form to ask for names of all guests, ID details, nationality, estimated arrival time, vehicle registration, and more.
  • Legal compliance -- Many regions require guest registration. Digital check-in helps you collect and store this information in a structured way.
  • Better guest experience -- Guests can complete check-in from their phone at a time that suits them, rather than filling out forms after a long journey.

How it works

  1. Enable check-in for your listing in the listing settings.
  2. Customize the form to include the fields you need.
  3. Send the check-in link to your guest -- either manually from the booking page or automatically using an Automated Email with the variable.
  4. The guest opens the link on their phone or computer, fills in the form, and submits it.
  5. You receive the submitted data in hejGuide, attached to the booking.

TIP

Combine digital check-in with an automated email that sends check-in instructions a day or two before arrival. Include the variable so the guest gets a direct link to the form. See Template Variables for details.
