Enabling Check-in

Before guests can use digital check-in, you need to enable it for each listing. Once enabled, you can send check-in invitations to guests and optionally customize the check-in page with a background image for your property.

How to enable digital check-in

  1. Go to Listings in the sidebar and open the listing you want to configure.
  2. Navigate to the listing's Settings or Check-in tab.
  3. Toggle Enable Check-in to on.
  4. Click Save.

That is all it takes. The listing now supports digital check-in, and you can start sending check-in links to guests.

Adding a background image

You can personalize the check-in page by uploading a background image. This is what guests see when they open the check-in form -- a photo of your property makes the experience feel branded and welcoming.

  1. Open the listing settings where you enabled check-in.
  2. Look for the Check-in Background Image option.
  3. Click Upload and select an image from your device.
  4. Save your changes.

TIP

Use a high-quality photo of your property's exterior or a welcoming interior shot. The image appears behind the check-in form, so choose something that looks good with a form overlay on top of it.

Sending check-in invitations

Once check-in is enabled, you can invite guests to complete the form:

Manually from the booking page

  1. Open a booking from the Calendar or Bookings list.
  2. Click the Send Check-in Invite button.
  3. The guest receives an email with a link to the check-in form.

Automatically with an email automation

  1. Go to Automated Emails and set up a Check-in Instructions automation (or use the Guest Journey step).
  2. In your email template, include the variable.
  3. When the automation triggers, the guest receives the email with their personalized check-in link.

WARNING

Each check-in link is unique to a specific booking. Do not copy and share the same link with multiple guests across different bookings -- always use the link generated for each booking.

Enabling check-in for multiple listings

If you manage several listings, you need to enable check-in for each one individually. This gives you flexibility -- some listings might not need digital check-in (for example, if you meet guests in person every time).

To quickly set up multiple listings:

  1. Go through each listing's settings and enable check-in.
  2. Upload a relevant background image for each property.
  3. Customize the form fields if different listings need different information. See Form Settings.
