Dashboard Overview

The dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into hejGuide. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your vacation rental business -- who is currently staying, who is arriving next, and how your properties are performing.

Current guests

The Current Guests widget shows all guests who are checked in right now. Each card displays the guest name, the listing they are staying at, and their check-out date. This gives you a quick way to see who is on-site at any moment.

Next check-in

The Next Check-in highlight shows your upcoming arrival. You will see the guest name, listing, arrival date, and number of nights. This helps you prepare -- whether that means coordinating a cleaning, sending a reminder email, or double-checking the check-in instructions.

Monthly KPIs

The dashboard displays four key performance indicators (KPIs) for the current month:

  • Bookings -- The total number of bookings for the month.
  • Occupancy rate -- The percentage of available nights that are booked across all your listings.
  • Revenue -- Total revenue generated from bookings in the current month.
  • ADR (Average Daily Rate) -- Your average nightly rate, calculated by dividing total revenue by the number of booked nights.

Each KPI includes a comparison to the same month last year, shown as a percentage increase or decrease, so you can quickly spot trends.

TIP

If your occupancy rate is significantly lower than last year, consider reviewing your pricing strategy. Head to Rates & Pricing to adjust your rates or add seasonal discounts.

Below the KPIs, you will find a visual chart comparing this year's performance against the previous year. This makes it easy to identify seasonal patterns and long-term growth in your business.

Listing performance summary

The Listing Performance section breaks down key metrics by property. For each listing, you can see:

  • Number of bookings
  • Occupancy percentage
  • Revenue generated
  • Average daily rate

This helps you identify your top-performing properties and any listings that might need attention -- whether that means updating photos, adjusting pricing, or improving the description.

Outstanding payments

The Outstanding Payments widget shows bookings with unpaid or partially paid balances. Each entry displays the guest name, listing, amount owed, and due date. Click on any entry to go directly to the booking and manage the payment.

WARNING

Keep an eye on the outstanding payments widget regularly. Following up on overdue payments promptly helps maintain healthy cash flow for your business.
