Attachments

You can attach files to your messages when communicating with guests. This is useful for sending documents like check-in instructions, house manuals, receipts, or photos of your property.

How to attach a file

  1. Open a conversation in the Messages inbox.
  2. Click the attachment icon (paperclip) next to the message input field.
  3. Select one or more files from your device.
  4. The selected files appear as thumbnails or file names below the message input.
  5. Type your message (optional) and click Send.

The files are sent along with your message and appear in the conversation thread.

Supported file types

You can attach the following file types:

WARNING

File size is limited to 10 MB per file. If you need to share a larger file, consider using a cloud storage link (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) in your message instead.

Viewing attachments

Attachments sent by you or the guest are displayed in the conversation thread:

  • Images show as inline previews that you can click to view full size.
  • Documents show as downloadable file links with the file name and size.

Attachments and OTA messages

When sending messages to guests through Booking.com or Airbnb, keep in mind that attachment support depends on the platform:

  • Email messages -- All supported file types can be attached.
  • Booking.com -- Attachment support may be limited by Booking.com's messaging system.
  • Airbnb -- Attachment support may be limited by Airbnb's messaging system.

TIP

For OTA guests, if you need to share files that the platform does not support as attachments, include a link to the file in your message instead.
