Managing Bookings on the Calendar
The calendar gives you a visual overview of all your reservations. You can see check-in and check-out dates, guest names, and booking sources at a glance -- and quickly navigate to any booking's detail page.
Reading the calendar
Each booking appears as a colored bar spanning from the check-in date to the check-out date. The bar displays the guest name so you can identify reservations quickly.
Bookings are color-coded by source:
- Direct bookings -- Created manually in hejGuide
- Booking.com -- Imported via the Channel Manager or iCal
- Airbnb -- Imported via the Channel Manager or iCal
- Other sources -- Imported from other iCal feeds
TIP
Hover over a booking bar to see a quick summary of the reservation, including the guest name, dates, and listing.
Viewing booking details
- Click on any booking bar in the calendar.
- The booking detail page opens, showing the full reservation information.
- From here, you can view guest contact details, charges, payments, messages, and the booking timeline.
Filtering the calendar
If you manage multiple listings, the calendar can get busy. Use the listing filter at the top of the calendar to narrow down the view:
- Click the listing filter dropdown at the top of the calendar.
- Select a specific listing to show only its bookings.
- To see all listings again, clear the filter.
Understanding booking statuses
Bookings on the calendar may appear in different states:
- Confirmed -- The booking is confirmed and active.
- Blocked -- Dates blocked for personal use or maintenance (these are not guest bookings).
- Cancelled -- Cancelled bookings may still appear dimmed on the calendar, depending on your settings.
Navigating dates
- Use the arrow buttons to move forward or backward by month.
- Click Today to jump back to the current date.
- The calendar highlights today's date for easy reference.
WARNING
The calendar is a read-only view for bookings imported from external platforms (Booking.com, Airbnb). To modify those bookings, make changes on the original platform -- they will sync back to hejGuide.
