Linking Products to Bookings

Once you have created your products, you can add them to individual bookings as extra charges. Products appear in the guest's booking summary alongside the accommodation cost, giving a clear breakdown of everything they are paying for.

Adding products to a booking

  1. Open the booking you want to add products to. You can find it from the Calendar, the Bookings list, or by searching for the guest name.
  2. Go to the Products tab within the booking detail view.
  3. Browse the available products for that listing. Products are grouped by category if you have set up categories.
  4. Select the product you want to add.
  5. Set the quantity -- for example, 2 bike rentals or 3 nights of parking.
  6. The price is calculated based on the product's unit price multiplied by the quantity.
  7. Click Add to include the product in the booking.
  8. Repeat for any additional products the guest has requested.

The products are added as line items in the booking's charges. The booking total is automatically updated to include the product charges.

Viewing products on a booking

Once products have been added to a booking, you can see them in the booking's charges section:

  • Each product is listed with its name, quantity, unit price, and total amount.
  • Tax is shown separately if a tax rate is configured for the product.
  • The booking total reflects the accommodation cost plus all product charges.

Removing a product from a booking

If a guest cancels an extra or a product was added by mistake:

  1. Open the booking.
  2. Go to the Products tab or the charges section.
  3. Find the product you want to remove.
  4. Click Remove next to the product.
  5. The charge is removed and the booking total is recalculated.

What guests see

When a guest views their booking summary (for example, via a payment link or check-in page), they see the products listed as individual charges. Each product shows the name, quantity, and price. This gives guests a transparent view of what they are paying for.

TIP

Add products to a booking as soon as the guest confirms they want the extra. This ensures the charge is reflected in the booking total before you send a payment link, avoiding the need for separate invoices or manual adjustments later.

WARNING

Products that are not assigned to the booking's listing will not appear in the product browser. If you do not see a product you expect, check that it has been assigned to the correct listing.
