Seasonal Pricing
Seasonal pricing lets you set different nightly rates for specific periods of the year. This is essential for vacation rental hosts who want to charge more during peak season and offer lower rates during quieter months.
How seasonal pricing works
Seasonal rates override your base price for the dates they cover. When a booking spans dates within a season, hejGuide uses the seasonal rate instead of the base price for those nights.
For example, if your base price is 100 per night and you create a "Summer" season at 150 per night for June through September, any nights falling within that range are charged at 150 instead of 100.
If a booking spans both seasonal and non-seasonal dates, each night is priced according to the rate that applies to that specific date.
Adding a seasonal rate
- Go to Rates in the sidebar and open the rate plan you want to edit.
- Find the Seasonal Pricing section.
- Click "Add Season".
- Enter the following details:
- Season name -- A descriptive label (e.g., "Summer High Season", "Winter Low Season", "Christmas & New Year").
- Start date -- The first date this rate applies.
- End date -- The last date this rate applies.
- Price per night -- The nightly rate for this season.
- Click Save.
TIP
Create seasons for every distinct pricing period in your year. Common examples:
- High season (summer months) -- Higher rate
- Low season (winter months) -- Lower rate
- Holiday periods (Christmas, Easter) -- Premium rate
- Shoulder season (spring, autumn) -- Moderate rate
Managing multiple seasons
You can add as many seasonal periods as you need to a single rate plan. Seasons should not overlap -- if two seasons cover the same dates, pricing may be unpredictable.
hejGuide applies pricing in this order of priority:
- Availability overrides (highest priority) -- Custom prices for specific dates.
- Seasonal pricing -- Rates for defined date ranges.
- Base price (lowest priority) -- The default nightly rate.
Example setup

In this example, a booking from December 22 to December 28 would be charged at the Christmas rate of 200 per night, since that season is more specific than the Winter Low season.
WARNING
Make sure your seasonal date ranges do not overlap. If you need different pricing for a holiday that falls within a broader season, create a separate season for the holiday period -- the more specific date range takes precedence.
Editing or removing a season
- Open the rate plan from the Rates page.
- In the Seasonal Pricing section, click on the season you want to change.
- Update the dates or price, then click Save. Or click Delete to remove the season entirely.
Changes apply to future bookings only.
