Weekend Pricing
Weekend pricing lets you set different nightly rates for Friday and Saturday nights. This is especially useful for properties in tourist destinations or leisure areas where demand is higher on weekends.
How weekend pricing works
When you enable weekend pricing on a rate plan, Friday and Saturday nights are charged at the weekend rate instead of the regular base price (or seasonal price). All other nights of the week use the standard rate.
For example, if your base price is 100 per night and your weekend rate is 130 per night, a Monday-to-Monday stay (7 nights) would be priced as:
- 5 weekday nights at 100 = 500
- 2 weekend nights (Friday + Saturday) at 130 = 260
- Total: 760
Setting up weekend pricing
- Go to Rates in the sidebar and open the rate plan you want to edit.
- Find the Weekend Pricing section.
- Enable weekend pricing.
- Enter the weekend price per night for Friday and Saturday nights.
- Click Save.
TIP
Weekend pricing works alongside seasonal pricing. If you have a summer season at 150 per night and a weekend rate of 180, Friday and Saturday nights during summer will be charged at 180.
When to use weekend pricing
Weekend pricing makes sense when your property sees different demand patterns between weekdays and weekends:
- Leisure destinations -- Beach houses, mountain cabins, and countryside retreats often have much higher weekend demand.
- City apartments near entertainment -- Properties near nightlife, restaurants, or event venues may see more weekend guests.
- Properties with mixed business/leisure guests -- If weekday guests are price-sensitive business travelers but weekend guests are leisure travelers willing to pay more.
If your property has consistent demand throughout the week, you may not need weekend pricing -- a flat nightly rate will keep things simple.
Weekend pricing and other rate rules
Weekend pricing interacts with your other pricing settings as follows:
- Base price -- Weekend rate replaces the base price on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Seasonal pricing -- Weekend rate replaces the seasonal price on Friday and Saturday nights (if the weekend rate is configured).
- Discounts -- Percentage discounts (length-of-stay, early-bird) are applied to the weekend rate on those nights.
- Availability overrides -- A specific date override always takes the highest priority, even over the weekend rate.
WARNING
Review your pricing carefully when combining weekend rates with seasonal pricing and discounts. Make sure the final calculated price for each scenario meets your expectations.
